Places in Cullen History

Before turning into vampires, each member of the Cullen family had a very different life style. Here's a list of the places they lived in with pictures of the exact time when each of them lived there listed in chronological order.

London, 1660







London in the XVII century was the largest city in Great Britan, with alomost half a million residents. Plague caused extensive problems for London in the early 17th century, culminating in the Great Plague in 1665–1666. This was the last major outbreak in England, possibly thanks to the disastrous fire of 1666. The Great Fire of London broke out in the original City and quickly swept through London's wooden buildings, destroying large swathes of the city. A first hand narrative of both plague and fire was provided by Sir Samuel Pepys.Rebuilding took over ten years, largely under direction of a Commission appointed by King Charles II and chaired by Sir Christopher Wren.

Texas, 1840.









Historically and culturally, partly due to settlement patterns and its membership in the Confederacy, Texas has close ties to the American South. However, having once been both a Spanish and Mexican possession, it can also be classified as a Southwestern state. While residents acknowledge these categories, many claim an independent "Texan" identity superseding regional labels.

Spain was the first European country to claim the area of Texas. It was part of Spain's colony of Mexico until 1836 when it became the independent Republic of Texas. In 1845 it joined the United States as the 28th state. The state's annexation was one of a chain of events that led to the Mexican-American War in 1846 and the U.S. Civil War.

Ohio, 1900






Esme lived in Ohio early on the XX century. A major event during her life was the convention for the American Constitution.

Chicago, 1910.









Edward lived in Chcago during a very active time. First came Wold War I and then the influenza epidemic. In this decade, Chicago started to welcome immigrants from all over the world, especially Africa.

New York, 1930









Rosalie lived in New York duing a very importan time in the American history, the Great Depression. Thousands of people lost everything and were unemployed.
