Vampire Fever

What is it with vampires these days? They are everywhere I go! Not that I'm complaining mind you. I can't resist a brooding immortal myself.


Case and point:


On an emergency run to Target the other day, I noticed an entire rack in the book section devoted to morbid vampire tales.



While at Costco, found that you can get the Twilight books individually, in a set of 4 or on audio.






But who can resist a teen angst filled romance novel?

Twilight embodies what most girls at any age truly desire in their partner; someone selfless and who protects them. And it certainly doesn't hurt that he's filthy rich. Wrap it up in the hot little package that is Edward Cullen and you have yourself a New York Times Bestseller.


And let's face it, Bella's a hot mess. She's the new girl in town and she brought a ton of emotional baggage with her. There is something endearing about this that attracts men from a 25 mile radius.


Am I right or am I right?


And then there's True Blood.

As an avid HBO watcher, it didn't take me long to get wrapped up in True Blood; the original series based on the books The Southern Vampire Mysteries, written by Charlaine Harris about humans and vampires that coexist in a fictional small town in Louisiana.

Helpless human, Sookie Stackhouse (not quite so much trouble as Bella) carries on a relationship with brooding vampire, Bill Compton. Add a little nudity and a few F-bombs and wa-la! Twilight for adults.

And of course there's the soon to be 'CW' series, The Vampire Diaries based on the New York Times Bestselling Nightworld series by L.J. Smith about a human girl who becomes romantically involved with two vampire brothers.

After reading the synopsis online, I'm considering heading out to Barnes and Noble tonight after the kids are in bed. True story!

The "Bella" in this story is named Elena. We relate already because that's my name! Now all I need is a vampire and I'm all set for my own best selling vampire romantic drama.


So what is it about these bloodsucking handsome devils that has our panties in such a bunch??

yah i know vampires are every where and...I LOVE IT!!! iam going to watch the vampire diries even though i havnt read the book. lets see if it inspires me to!
